Japan Consul General Hiroshi Nawata Visits Karnataka Olympic Association Office in Bengaluru
Japan Consul General in Bengaluru Hiroshi Nawata visited the Karnataka Olympic Association office and met KOA President Dr. K. Govindaraju. Nawata toured the Hall of Fame and Kanteerava Stadium facilities, appreciated KOA’s work in promoting sports, and assured Japan’s support for the development of sports in Karnataka.

Japan Consul General Hiroshi Nawata visits KOA office
Bengaluru: Japan Consul General in Bengaluru, Hiroshi Nawata, visited the Karnataka Olympic Association (KOA) office at the Karnataka Olympic Bhavan in Bengaluru on Friday and met KOA President and Legislative Council member Dr. K. Govindaraju.During the visit, Nawata Hiroshi saw the photographs of Olympians and Arjuna Award winners displayed at the Hall of Fame at the KOA Bhavan. Dr. Govindaraju explained the achievements of the sportspersons featured there.
Nawata appreciated the activities and functioning of the Karnataka Olympic Association and said that Japan would always extend its support for the development of sports in Karnataka.
He also visited the Kanteerava Indoor and Outdoor Stadiums and took a look at the sports facilities.
Later, Dr. Govindaraju honoured Nawata Hiroshi by presenting him with a Mysuru Peta. KOA office-bearers were present on the occasion.
