India Men’s Kabaddi Team Make It Two from Two with 63–31 Win Over Korea

Aichi, Japan, September 22, 2026: India continued their unbeaten run at the 2026 Asian Games with a commanding 63–31 victory over the Republic of Korea in their second Group A fixture at the Tokai Citizens Gymnasium on Tuesday morning.

Captain Sunil Kumar’s side, featuring several raiders and defenders familiar from the Pro Kabaddi League, took early control of the contest and maintained their dominance throughout the match.

India’s raiding unit was clinical, collecting 38 out points compared with Korea’s 23. The defence also delivered a strong performance, producing a series of successful tackles that repeatedly disrupted Korea’s attacking rhythm.

India raced to a 34–14 lead at halftime, with 23 out points and seven bonus points in the opening half. Two All-Outs further strengthened India’s advantage, while Korea’s raiders managed only 10 touch points before the break.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with Korea showing slightly more resistance but never posing a serious threat of a comeback. India added another 29 points after the restart and inflicted one more All-Out.

India also took their bonus-point tally to 17 for the match, while Korea added 17 points in the second half but could not reduce the substantial deficit.

With the victory, India remain firmly on course in Group A after securing successive wins over hosts Japan and the Republic of Korea. The men’s team will next face Bangladesh on September 23 as they continue their campaign for a ninth Asian Games gold medal in the last 10 editions.
