Who Is Behind 'Dimagi Naxal Janta Party?'

The buzz around the 'Dimagi Naxal Janta Party' is growing day by day, with people increasingly asking who is behind the newly formed satirical party online.

The party, which has become a trend on social media following the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), E20 Janta Party and Reservation Hatao Andolan, has three words as its USP: 'Think | Research | Resist.'

The founder's name on X is listed as 'Founder - A Dimagi Indian.'

The social media handle draws its name and messaging from remarks made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Independence Day speech at the Red Fort. Referring to the country's fight against Naxalism, PM Modi said that armed Naxals had been eliminated from forested areas, but warned of the presence of what he described as “dimagi (intellectual) Naxals”. “We have succeeded in eliminating armed Naxals from the forests and liberating the nation from that crisis. However, while armed Naxals are gone, dimagi (intellectual) Naxals are lurking around,” he said. He further called on people to “identify” and “isolate” such elements to prevent the country's youth from being influenced or taken down the “wrong path.”

However, the founder of the party still remains a mystery. The party's X account has amassed over 19,000 followers, while its Instagram account has crossed 3 lakh followers.

On Instagram, the party said that it would reveal the founder's identity at the right time, writing, “Dimag use karna aata hai. We know how to use our mind. So we will not be revealing who the founder is for some time. Let it remain a faceless platform - 'of the people, for the people and by the people.' The founder and team will be revealed once it reaches the 1M milestone.”

In its first tweet on Sunday, “What if all dimagi naxals come together?”, the account also appeared to reference the origins of the CJP, which began with Abhijeet Dipke's now-iconic May 16 tweet, “What if all the cockroaches come together?”

Several prominent influencers, including Dhruv Rathee, Arpit Sharma and others, have also extended their support to the newly formed 'Dimagi Naxal Janta Party.'

However, the identity of the founder remains a mystery.
