In a packed monsoon session, the Karnataka government unveiled the Clean Energy & Water Policy 2026 mandating solar panels on all new government buildings and announcing Rs 5,000 crore for the Kaveri river rejuvenation project spanning 7 districts.

Energy Minister announced that Karnataka has now achieved 12,000 MW of renewable energy capacity, ranking second nationally. The water policy aims to provide 24x7 piped water to all Bengaluru households by 2027.
