Tired Of Potholes– Bengaluru Man Builds App To Detect & Find Who’s Responsible To Fix Them!

It goes without saying that planning and then building a well-connected road across a city or a state is only half of the work- as maintaining the same road is equally important. However, in the case of India, it seems like the other half of the responsibility mostly goes unaccounted for- as the endless number of potholes leading to road accidents is a growing concern in the country. Tired of the same, a Bengaluru man recently went above and beyond, as he ended up building an entire app– just to solve the said issue!

A young engineer, Gaurav Sen, recently turned into a hailed sensation on social media– after he shared about his rather impressive app. Using AI, the techie allegedly built an AI app that can not only detect a pothole, but can also find out the company or individual responsible for repairing it.

In a video, Sen explained the app’s working: allegedly, his app can detect and can search through “2,900 government contracts”. It can then find the “exact tender number”, along with identifying the “officer responsible”. The app can further attach the photo and geolocation of the pothole, followed by generating a ready-to-file complaint.

Sen also revealed the reason behind him taking such a project. Allegedly, it was the alarming number of pothole-related deaths in India that compelled him to take the matter into his own hands- in his own way. Sen further claimed that most Indian roads are still under warranty, which is why the contractor who built them is legally responsible for fixing potholes for free.
