Man Climbs Puri Jagannath Temple Roof to Retrieve Purse Snatched by Monkey, Admitted for Medical Examination

A surprising incident has been reported from the Sri Jagannath Temple in Puri, where a man climbed onto the temple structure, creating panic among devotees and people present at the spot. The man has been identified as Madhab Gopinath Nayak, a resident of Saraipali village in Mahasamund district, Chhattisgarh.

After information about the incident surfaced, people and concerned officials began efforts to bring him down safely. The man eventually came down himself and was safely brought to the ground.

When questioned about why he had climbed onto the temple, Madhab reportedly said that a monkey had taken away his purse. He claimed that he climbed up the temple structure in an attempt to retrieve his belongings.

Following the incident, Madhab was admitted to the Puri district headquarters hospital for a medical examination. He is currently under medical observation.
