The two members shared glimpses from the event on social media, but their appearance quickly drew mixed reactions from fans, with some questioning their decision to attend Brown’s show given his history of legal controversies. While some fans criticised the BTS members, others argued that artists should be separated from their personal lives and that RM and J-Hope should not be expected to explain every decision they make outside their professional activities.

Amid the online debate, a BTS fan shared a post addressing Brown’s controversial past. The fan made it clear that she did not support the singer or people who are abusers, while discussing the criticism surrounding his actions. The post gained attention among BTS ARMY, with several fans joining the discussion and sharing their views on Brown, BTS and the decision to attend the concert. Brown himself appeared to respond to the post. In a comment that has since been deleted, the singer wrote, “pray bout it h*e.” Although the comment was removed from social media, screenshots and screen recordings of the alleged response continued to circulate online.

However, others have condemned the tone of his response and argued that his comment has only intensified the controversy surrounding the concert appearance.

Why is Chris Brown facing criticism?

Brown has faced legal troubles and public controversies throughout his career. His most widely known legal case dates back to 2009, when he pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna. He was sentenced to probation and community service, among other penalties. More recently, Brown pleaded guilty in July 2026 in connection with an assault involving a man at a nightclub in London in 2023. The victim was reportedly struck on the head with a bottle and pushed to the floor.

Following the guilty plea, Metropolitan Police Detective Constable Zara Ripamonti said authorities were pleased that the men involved had accepted responsibility for their actions and that, following a lengthy investigation, police were able to bring them to justice.
