‘Are You Ready For Silence?’ Indian Man Reveals The ‘Reality’ Of Moving To Europe
- A video of an Indian living in Europe went viral, as he shared the ‘expectation vs reality’ that most Indians only find out after moving out of India.
- Here’s what he said….
Moving out of India, specifically to a European nation, surely sounds like a dream for many; however, not everything is as “awesome” as it seems- or so can be said based on this man’s video on his “Expectations vs Reality" that he only realised after moving to Europe. Taking to social media, a content creator- Aditya- shared a rather interesting advice for Indians looking forward to moving to Europe. He asked people not to judge Europe based on its online image; instead, he urged Indians to understand– that unlike India, Europe is much quieter and silent.
He claimed that being in Europe also means coming across and meeting “less people” and living a life in “less noise". He then claimed that such ‘silence’ often turns into “loneliness” for many.
“You see Europe online, clean streets, life is good. You think that everything is awesome here, but let me ask you– are you also ready for the silence? Because when you come over here, less people, less noise, and less social life- and for many Indians, it becomes loneliness,” the man said.
He then clarified that such a change is not necessarily “bad”, but is simply “different”. “It’s not bad, it’s just different. If you understand this early, you adapt fast,” the post read.”
The video soon went viral, leaving the internet divided. Some agreed with the man, while others called the same silence “peace”.

Check out the viral post:
“Part 5 expectations versus reality when you come here, be mentally prepared for the isolation, be mentally prepared to miss your loved ones, be mentally prepared to do your things by yourself,” the post read.
The post was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘adi_in_france’. The post was shared 2 days ago and pulled over 1K views from netizens.
Internet’s reaction:
“For this silence I came here,” a user said. “Living in Paris - not really sure what silence and less people you’re talking about, it feels like there’s noise and people everywhere haha,” added another person in the comment section. “This isn't silence man, it's the peace. What are you even talking about?” asked the next person.
