Adnan Sami: Asha Bhosle Was Mother To Me

Remembering late Asha Bhsole, Adnan said she was an emotional person. If she didn't like something, she would say it, he stated. The singer further shared, "She was very childlike in that sense. She would turn around and vo daant bhi deti thi. Aur phir do minute daante ke baad, she would feel guilty also. Then she would say, 'Dekho, bura toh nahi maana? Main aise hi hoon'. Main kaha ki mujhe pata hain aap aise hi ho (laughs)."

There were many lessons that she taught me, apart from music, about life. She had so much wisdom to share." He described her as someone who was full of love and protective too.

Continuing the conversation, Adnan recalled that the late singer would get upset with him if he didn't call her for a long time. "And (she would say) 'Accha yaad aagayi? Matlab kis liye yaad aayi?' I would say, 'Alight, okay, fine. Aapne jo mujhe kehna hai abhi keh dijiye. Aap apni bhadas nikal dijiye (chuckles)'. After that, when she was done, I would quietly listen. And I'd say, 'Bas ho gaya?' (And she would say) 'Haan, nikal gayi saari...'. She would say it also."
